Who you may be able to sponsor
Canadian citizens and permanent residents may be able to sponsor certain family members for permanent residence, including:
- A spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner
- Dependent children
- Parents and grandparents, through a program with limited intake that uses an invitation process
Each path has its own rules for the sponsor and the person being sponsored. Sponsors take on financial responsibility, and some paths have income requirements.
Why sponsorship applications get delayed or refused
Most problems come from missing documents, weak proof of the relationship, or forms that don't match each other. A careful review before you submit can save months.
How we can help
Every situation is different. GLC Immigration Consulting can help in three ways:

- Pre-submission review: you prepare your own application, and we review it for errors, gaps and risks before you submit.
